LET’S BEGIN ENDING YOUR CARBON PROBLEMS.

The first 3,000 liter demonstration plant has been constructed in Melbourne, Australia, with commissioning underway to verify at scale. We are on track to complete commissioning by the end of 2024.

 

This size is an ideal demonstration size to confirm effect of specific emissions into the process and the value of resulting products generated. It is anticipated that these will become available for installation at customer sites in the first half of 2025. 

 

We are on track to build the first commercial-scale reactor system by late 2025.

 

Ultimately, Hydrobe® units are expected to be mass produced for modular installation, working in an array, or ‘train’. This enables easy ramping up and down of units as required and represents a profound step change in scalability for biological production systems.

Our patented Hydrobe® process resolves the traditional scalability hurdles of producing biomass using photosynthetic processes.

 

Until now, the incentive for investment in microalgal biomass production relied on high value, low demand use cases for viability. Hydrobe’s game-changing carbon-recycling technology reduces biomass production costs to levels that are price competitive with high volume use cases such as protein feedstocks and biofuels including sustainable aviation fuel.

 

Large scale supply of biomass requires large scale consumption of CO2 from existing emissions sources. The prevention of those emissions entering the atmosphere generates a large-scale supply of price competitive, low-carbon products for use by other hard-to-abate industries.

 

Achieving this is obviously a key prize.
